ワカバコーヒーによる短期集中舞踏ワークショップ！今年も開催します！経験不問。高校生以上。以下はメインとなる内容です。

★観る・観られる

9月に座・高円寺２にて上演されるワカバコーヒー作品『喫人舞踏会・再宴』より、10分ほどの群舞を抜粋。小グループに分かれて練習し、最終日には互いに発表します。“観る”こと、“観られる”ことを通じて、身体の新たな側面を発見しましょう。

★ゲスト講師 点滅 による舞踏ワークショップ

土方巽記念アスベスト館にて舞踏を始め、赤色彗星館、B機関を主宰後、現在はソロ。陶芸家、写真の被写体としても活動する点滅による舞踏ワークショップ。

★「空っぽの身体」で踊るということ

舞踏の基本である“立ち方”“在り方”を学びます。自分という意識を一旦外に置き、空っぽの身体で動く。体の内側と外側のイメージを使います。

★感情もひとつの“道具”に

ワークショップでは身体を表現のための道具として扱うと同時に、感情もひとつの道具として使います。シンプルな動きにさまざまな感情を乗せてアレンジします。

Summer Intensive Butoh Workshop 2026

2days intensive Butoh workshop by Wakaba Coffee! No experience required. Open to high school students and older. Workshop will be held both in English and Japanese. Below are the main contents of the workshop

  • Learn and present a 10-minute group piece excerpted from a Wakaba Coffee production which will be performed at Za Koenji 2 in Septempber. Participants will be divided into small groups, sharing the experience of watching and being watched.
  • A Butoh workshop led by TEMMETSU, who began studying Butoh at Tatsumi Hijikata Memorial Asbestos-kan and later directed Sekishoku Suiseikan and B-Kikan before embarking on a solo career. In addition to their work as a Butoh artist, TEMMETSU is also active as a ceramic artist and photographic model.
  • Learn the basic stance and presence of Butoh. Set aside your “self” and dance with an empty body. Work with internal and external imagery of the body.
  • Use emotions as a tool. Layer various emotions onto simple steps to create your own expression.
